Podcast episode: seeking intentional Comfort
Here in Pennsylvania the days are getting crisp and the Halloween decorations have been put away. With the winter holidays coming right around the corner, there’s no doubt that the season of comfort and joy will be upon us soon.
Which begs the question: What does it look like to seek true comfort and joy after we’ve spent the last 20ish months in a state of upheaval, trauma, unrest, and uncertainty?
Many of us have sought comfort in things that don’t necessarily bring us true relief and restoration: things like social media escapes, binge-watching TV, or online shopping. And while I love all of these things in small doses, for many of us, we don’t really feel better afterwards. It may be time to be more intentional about what truly brings us comfort.
Paula Jenkins, host of the podcast Jump Start Your Joy, is devoting season 7 to this very question: What is intentional comfort, why does it matter, and how do we create it for ourselves?
I’m honored and delighted to be featured on this week’s episode where Paula and I explore where we’ve all been, where we are now, and how we can create intentional comfort for ourselves moving forward.
I invite you to take a listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
I’m wishing you all the intentional comfort and joy!
